Dancers from across the United States and around the world (China, South America, Canada, Europe) flock to DADA during the month of July to be trained, inspired and transformed by Ms. Allen and her world-class faculty. Students 8 to 25 years of age meet daily to dramatically improve their technical skills and broaden their dance vocabulary. Classes are 6 days a week from 9am to 4 pm in a comprehensive dance program that includes Ballet, Horton, Jazz, Tap, Flamenco, Hip Hop and Musical Theater. Pointe classes and Pas de Deux are offered to the more experienced level. Additionally, an array of surprise guest teachers and lecturers are invited once a week to add a little spice. Top Agent Julie McDonald, Krump Master Tommy The Clown and Jason Samuel Smith were headliners last summer.
The Intensive culminates with a glorious recital that always brings great joy seeing the work that is accomplished and great sadness for new best friends to say good-bye.
