faculty is dedicated to giving students the training and performance
experiences required to sustain a career in the professional dance
world and many aspects of the arts and entertainment industry.

DADA offers
training to experienced and inexperienced dancers with a comprehensive
program which includes classical ballet, modern, hip hop, jazz, tap,
salsa, krumping, and silk (cirque technique).
Adults:
Bring your favorite party shoes Monday nights and groove in our
salsa class. You can also bring your tap shoes and start right now.
It's never too late.
You are likely to run into Ms. Allen if you are ready to sweat
in African Class. (See Schedule)
Young Dancers:
A new program has been created just for you that meets everyday
Monday-Saturday with emphasis on Ballet and pointe. Other
techniques included are hip hop, jazz, african, tap, and silk (cirque
technique)
The pre-eminant and most highly requested program at DADA that services
the very serious student of dance who is looking to expand exponentially
their dance technique and their dance vocabulary.
Students 8-21 are placed in beginner, intermediate, and advanced
levels. Applicants must audition for admittance and are requested
to enroll in a 12 point weekly schedule which equals approximately
10 classes.
Required Classes
include Ballet, Modern and Dunham Technique.
Electives include African, Flamenco, Character, Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop,
Salsa, and Aerial Training. Voice and Acting classes (enrollment
limited) are also offered for interested students.
An after school program with classes starting daily at 4:15 pm.
The academy students who achieve are invited to join the DADA ensemble;
the performance arm of the academy which represents DADA in concerts,
television and prestigious benefits of organization that serve the
community or promote the arts (Performances include the Hollywood Bowl, Kodak Theatre, So You Think You Can Dance,
The Alfred Mann Foundation and the Jerry Lewis telethon).

and are encouraged to audition for the annual theatrical productions.

This program, directly over-seen by Director Madame Khaniashvili
and Dean Karen McDonald, while rigorous in its demand in training
and discipline, has proven to raise the academic achievement of
these students who learn to prioritize and better manage their time.
This program is designed for the young students 8-18 years old who
love dance but may not be able or ready to commit to the requirements
of The Academy.
Requirements include students taking a minimum of 4 classes a week
with training offered in Ballet, Modern Jazz., Tap, Hip-Hop and
African dance.
Overseen by Dean Karen McDonald the Pre-Academy faculty are the
same as the Academy Masters. The Pre-Academy program serves as a
gateway into the Academy, as students progress in technique, recommendations
are made.
Performances:
The Pre-Academy students perform in the winter and spring recitals
and are also encouraged to audition for the annual theatrical productions.
Under the direction of Ms. Debbie Allen and Dean Bronwyn Thomas, DADA will establish a brand new level this fall THE REDBIRDS. This is the next step for the most advanced group from the Early Bird program before the Academy level. Required to take 6 classes a week, The RedBird program will focus on Modern and Ballet Techniques as well a an hour dedicated to tap. Students will be recommended for this level based on their skills by Ms. Bronwyn Thomas, Ms Allen and Madame Alla. Monday and Wednesday classes are required with electives on Saturday.
Early-Bird This program offering training to boys and girls 4-7 years
old, as they take their first steps in dance, is the true joy of DADA.
No previous training experience required.
Classes in Ballet, Tap, Flamenco, Hip Hop, Jazz, and African begins
a journey of self discovery, discipline, and socialization that
has immeasurable impact on the accomplishment of this young group
of little people.
Led by Dean Bronwyn Thomas-Hodgson who specializes in training
young gifted children, the Early Bird curriculum also offers a special
voice class which meets on Saturday (Enrollment Limited).
Requirements: Early Birds
are required to take a minimum of 4 classes per week. Classes are
available several days a week, with a more concentrated program on Saturdays.

Bronwyn Thomas, Early Bird Dean
This children's course of dance and theatre has been designed by
our Early Bird Director. Bronwyn Thomas, a Master Teacher of Classical
Ballet and Musical Theater. Ms. Thomas, formerly of the Eliot Feld
Ballet and guest artist with American Ballet Theater, is renowned
for her ability to work with and teach young dancers.
Early Bird Summer Camp
The Early Bird Summer Intensive is an exciting adventure, which introduces
children, ages 4-7, to the world of Dance Theatre. There is no requirement
of previous dance experience or training. Our aim is that all of the
children have a wonderful, happy, fun-filled day in different techniques,
under the caring supervision of our highly-trained and qualified staff.
Performances:
Early Birds are always featured in the winter and spring recitals.
The Early Bird Summer Program has its own concert.
