JULY 6, 2020
The Debbie Allen Dance Academy has officially broken ground on our long awaited RHIMES CENTER FOR PERFORMING ARTS!

This Oasis of creativity, discipline, and leadership known as DADA was founded 20 years ago by me and my husband Norman Nixon. Our permanent facility will provide spacious, state of the art studios that will enhance DADA's diverse programs and encourage more community participation. Students young and old, from around the world, will come to The Rhimes Center for Performing Arts to study dance, acting, music, writing, cirque technique, hair, makeup, and lighting design.

This new facility will also house The Debbie Allen Middle School for the Arts which will open in the fall of 2021!
Thank you to all of those who have helped make this dream a reality for the dance world and DADA's Global Community, and a very special thanks to Shonda Rhimes, Wallis Annenberg, Kobe Bryant, Berry Gordy, Chandra Wilson, and the AIDS Healthcare Foundation.

MARCH 12, 2020
Dear DADA Students, Parents and Community,
The health and safety of our students, faculty, staff and DADA family members is our highest priority. To that end, we have made a thoughtful decision to close DADA due to the current Coronavirus pandemic. Please note, there have been no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the DADA community. Our last classes will be held today Thursday, March 12th. We will revisit the situation and decide when would be an appropriate and safe to return.
We will honor all payments for cancelled classes and factor those numbers into your tuition upon return. A list of teachers will be available for privates upon request to Ms. Jill Bokelberg who can be reached by email at jill@debbieallendanceacademy.com.
For updates on safety, please visit www.cdc.gov for additional information. We will continue to send any information we deem relevant. Thank you for your understanding. We will come back stronger. Come back safe.
