Riffing on the self-portrait tradition of the artist in their studio, Creating Content grapples with what 
it means to be an artist in the age of social media, where creativity is often reduced to consumable digital spectacle and artistic autonomy subordinated to algorithms and trends. This piece raises questions of legitimacy and prestige, contending with the highbrow/lowbrow dichotomy between “artist” and “content creator.” Can the “content” saturating our Instagram feeds ever be considered art?
