Under the supervision of the Controller and the Dean of Students, the Accountant Assistant & Registrar is one position and is part-time.  The Accountant & Registrar will be responsible for accounts receivables and account payables for the Debbie Allen Dance Academy as well as overseeing the registration and financial aspects of all Academy students.  This is a part-time position.   




Accountant-related Duties & Responsibilities: 

Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering and sorting documents and related information; Pays invoices by verifying transaction information; scheduling and preparing disbursements; obtaining authorization of payment; Obtains revenue by verifying transaction information; computing charges and refunds; preparing and mailing invoices; identifying delinquent accounts and insufficient payments; Collects revenue by reminding delinquent accounts; notifying customers of insufficient payments; Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends; Maintains accounting ledgers by posting account transactions; Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions; Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation; issuing stop payments, payments, or adjustments; Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls; Secures financial information by completing database backups; Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents; Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Registrar-related Duties: 

Collects and records all tuition, registration and late fees for each semester and summer intensives; responsible for all reports related to any revenue collected for DADA classes and summer intensive;  oversees the enrollment process for new and current students, gathering all required information, while also coordinating class schedules and maintains accurate records;  maintains records of correct placement of students in classes;  maintains medical records of students; responsible for weekly schedules of all classes at DADA.  Additional duties may include DADA auditions and DADA events.  



Dance Academy & School environment; direct contact with students and parents; collaboration with DADA administrative team.


A minimum of a B.A is required. Knowledge of  Accounting policies and procedures.

Under the supervision of the Academy Director and the Dean of Students, the Head of Student Affairs position is full-time. We are looking for an experienced administrator that has great people and computer skills. This position is highly visible and representative of the DADA Brand.  Most importantly, the Head of Student Affairs is the principle communicator between our DADA community, faculty & staff.


Duties & Responsibilities

Oversee enrollment & registration process for new & current students

Coordinate & administer weekly class schedules 

Maintain accurate records (ie. student placement, attendance, injury forms etc.)

Manage & support DADA events 

Develop & implement policies & procedures surrounding all student related organizations   

Manage administrative support for student activities (i.e. orientation, field trips, intensives etc.)

Remain familiar with DADA’s year-round calendar (i.e. performances, events, registration, audition dates etc.)  

Provide counseling as needed 

Understand, follow & implement DADA protocols for all events & classes 

Manage Summer Intensive Programs (i.e. coordinate activities, bus service, catering, communication with parents & vendors etc.)

Contribute to a positive working environment

Manage outreach for lecture demonstrations
