The Hot Chocolate Nutcracker is a community production, with an open call for dancers each Fall. In August, the Academy offers a 3-day Snowflake Boot Camp for dancers ages 6-8 and a 4-day Fairyland Clinic for advanced dancers 13 years old and up. Both are pre-audition workshops that teach production choreography to assist dancers in preparation for the Hot Chocolate Nutcracker auditions in September. Please see the "Workshops" page for more information on registration for our pre-audition workshops.
Advanced classical dancers ages 13+ with proficient pointe technique (minimum 3 years) may attend a special open audition in August for our Fairyland Ballet. Dancers can pre-register for the audition to secure their spot.
Each September we welcome dancers from across Southern California and beyond to our Hot Chocolate Nutcracker general, open auditions for boys and girls starting at 6 years and up through 19. To secure a spot, dancers should pre-register to audition based on age.
