Ages 3-9. Playful intro to ballet, tap, and creative movement. Designed to inspire children seeking foundational skills in dance through technique, musical exercises, teamwork and play. Through ABT curriculum, students are prepared for our preprofessional program. Students must take 2 - 7 classes weekly.

Ages 9-19. The Academy provides a comprehensive curriculum for the committed student, ages eight and up. All students are required to take

9 - 10 classes weekly.

Ages 9-13. Hand selected by Debbie Allen, the Red Birds Program allows the dedicated student to increase their focus on technique and artistry through a rigorous curriculum. 7 - 13 classes weekly.

Ages 8-13. Our signature scholarship program for young male dancers with training in ballet, African, hip hop, tap and more. Open to students between the ages of 8 and 13 - audition required.

Debbie Allen Middle School for the Arts is a WASC-accredited independent, STEAM-based, private school for grades 6-8 that combines rigorous, standards-aligned academics with daily dance, acting, and singing training in the Rhimes Performing Arts Center. 

Discover the world of musical theatre in this class for students ages 6 to 20 with training in acting, dance, performance and voice under the direction and guidance of Ms. Allen.

Our pre-professional dance company comprised of current students and alumni. Guest performers have included Misty Copeland and Desmond Richardson.

Drop-In classes for all ages. No audition needed. Join us for one of our Open Classes, perfect for students of all ages and skill levels. Explore the world of dance in this exciting and dynamic series.

The Hot Chocolate Nutcracker is Ms. Allen's reimagined take on the holiday classic, spanning over 150 shows across 15 years. There is an open call for dancers each Fall.
